Meet the Executive Team
Bellwether Real Estate Capital LLC, is merging with Enterprise Community Investment, Inc.'s Multifamily Mortgage Finance business. The new company, Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital, will offer greater geographic reach and product offerings.
Ned Huffman, Principal, Executive Managing Director:
Ned has been in the commercial real estate arena for over 25 years. Prior to joining Bellwether, Ned was a founder and CEO of Capstone Realty Advisors where he and the management team developed the business into a leading national mortgage banking company with over $10 billion in mortgage servicing assets and annual production loan volume of over $1 billion. Prior to Capstone, Ned was a Senior Vice President at Mellon Mortgage where he focused on real estate finance, heading Mellon's refinancing program. In his career, he has originated over $2 billion in commercial real estate financing for several life insurance companies and Wall Street conduits. Over the years, Ned has built strong relationships with borrowers and capital sources and continues to be a leader in the mortgage industry. In 1992 and 1997, Ned was the recipient of "The Mortgage Broker of the Year Award" given by the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).
Deborah Rogan, Principal, Executive Managing Director:
Debbie has 25 years experience in the commercial real estate arena with a strong background in servicing and servicing acquisitions. Throughout her career she has been responsible for the closing and transition of over $25 billion in mortgage servicing rights. As Executive Managing Director of Bellwether, Debbie is responsible for all administrative areas of the company as well as working with the managing member team on business development. Prior to joining Bellwether, Debbie served as Chief Operating Officer of Capstone Realty Advisors and was instrumental in creating the infrastructure for the servicing and administration groups. Along with the other top executives at Capstone, she played a major role in guiding the direction of the company. Her abilities helped make Capstone a premier mortgage lending company in the country. Debbie has established strong relationships with investors, trustees, rating agencies and others involved in the mortgage banking community. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Statistics from Pennsylvania State University.
Steven M. Feldman, Principal, Managing Director, Production Manager: 216-820-4504
Steve has 18 years experience in commercial real estate finance, loan origination, law, tenant representation, underwriting, and facilities operations. Steve originated over $1 billion in loans during his tenure with Mellon Mortgage Company and most recently with Capstone Realty Advisors in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a licensed attorney in Ohio and practiced law for several years. Steve also holds a real estate license in Ohio. He graduated from Middlebury College with a B.A. in Economics and received his J.D. from Vermont Law School. Steve is a member of the Chicago Title Advisory Board, Greater Cleveland Mortgage Banker's Association and The Cleveland Bar Association.
Martin J. Clancy, Principal, Director, National Servicing Manager: 216-820-4506
Marty has 21 years experience in commercial real estate and serves as Bellwether's National Servicing Manager. Prior to joining Bellwether, Marty was a Senior Vice President for Capstone Realty Advisors. He was responsible for the servicing operations of a $10 billion life, CMBS and Agency portfolio consisting of 1,900 loans. Along with maintaining relationships with lenders and rating agencies, Marty oversees billing and collection, document control, escrow and reserve activity, asset management, troubled loans/workouts and investor accounting and remittance. Additionally, he is responsible for controlling costs, cash management activities and organizational development necessary to support the company's continual growth. He serves on lender advisory councils and committees relevant to commercial real estate.
David Shultz, Chief Financial Officer: 216-820-4526
David has 23 years experience in real estate and construction finance. Along with managing the financial and regulatory compliance of Bellwether, David works very closely with the members of the Executive Team in forecasting and strategic planning for Bellwether. Prior to joining Bellwether, David was a Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Capstone Realty Advisors. David began his career with Ernst and Young focusing on real estate and construction clients. He previously held senior financial management positions with a title agency and with a construction firm and practiced law with Ulmer and Berne, LLP. David is a CPA and licensed attorney in Ohio, graduated with a B.B.A. from the University of Toledo and received a J.D./MBA from the University of Toledo. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Ohio Society of CPAs and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. David is admitted to the Supreme Court of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the U.S. Federal Court of Claims.
